You're running a project

It could be a renovation, extension or whole new-build project. You might be in the middle of construction. Or maybe you are staring at the desolate wasteland that used to be a garden, after you have 'finished'. But is anyone helping you, personally, cope with the process?

 

Are your friends even taking your calls anymore?

​​This is where I can help. I am all ears. I love a build project (especially one I am not actually responsible for). I love helping people think of ideas, tweak designs and work out what they actually want and need. I like thinking through build challenges with people. I know how hard it is to keep your sanity sometimes while dealing with family and real-life pressures during a project. I am a non-judgmental, interested, self-builder's friend, who knows just enough to be dangerous about quite a lot of things. 

 

Am I an architect or project manager?

Nope. And I am not replacing them or any other professional or expert. Instead I want to help people to have the best working relationship with their professionals. When you are clear in your mind, confident and reasoned in your opinions, and able to keep your motivation and sense of humor, you are more in control and a much better client to deal with.

Most of all... 

I want people to ENJOY build projects, because they CAN be enjoyable. Sometimes you just need someone to help you keep seeing the wood, not the trees.

I work mainly on Zoom, and I offer single ad-hoc sessions or pre-booked regular catch-ups. I can also make site visits in Cheshire/Merseyside.
